Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Account Executive with a strong foundation in PR strategy and execution, paired with a creative eye for content and design. This position requires previous agency or in-house experience managing client accounts, producing creative assets, and leading PR initiatives from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and collaborative leader who can manage multiple client accounts with ease. This role blends creative content development with public relations expertise. Meaning you might be pitching a story one moment, designing an e-newsletter the next, and overseeing a campaign launch later that afternoon.
You’ll lead day-to-day account management, develop compelling content across digital and traditional platforms, and collaborate with internal teams, creative partners, and clients to deliver measurable results. This position works within a very collaborative team environment. The ability to work collaboratively, share your skills across the company, and contribute to all aspects of KC Projects’ operations and client success is key to thriving in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Strategic Communications
Serve as day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring needs are met with accuracy and timeliness.
Develop and execute strategic PR plans with clear, measurable goals.
Write and distribute press releases, media alerts, pitches, and editorial content.
Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure earned coverage.
Monitor industry trends, media coverage, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
Provide on-site support for media events, grand openings, and activations.
Prepare reports highlighting PR wins, media coverage, and campaign performance.
Creative Content & Marketing
Conceptualize, design, and execute highly creative brand deliverables monthly content across digital platforms including email marketing, newsletters, social media, digital ads, and website content.
Build and manage content calendars and oversee social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Write short-form creative copy for captions, headlines, and campaigns, ensuring brand voice consistency.
Strong working knowledge of photo and video editing tools and techniques (InShot, CapCut, and more).
Design visually engaging assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools (Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, though not mandatory).
Maintain and manage website updates, ensuring functional performance, up-to-date content, and consistent branding across all pages.
Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and designers to produce campaign visuals, event collateral, and branded materials.
Ensure all creative work aligns with client goals, brand identity, and visual standards.
Account Leadership & Collaboration
Lead internal team members, delegate tasks, and ensure projects meet deadlines.
Seamlessly shift between accounts, maintaining organization and attention to detail.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand goals, build strategy, and deliver impactful results.
Contribute creative ideas and solutions during campaign development, brainstorming, and event planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Design, or related field.
3+ years of experience in PR, communications, or related field (agency experience preferred).
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills - from press releases to ad copy.
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools. (Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, though not mandatory).
Experience in social media management, content strategy, and email marketing (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
Confident client communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
Creative mindset with attention to visual detail and current trends.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and solutions-focused.
Bonus Points For…
Experience with brand development or rebranding projects.
Familiarity with SEO, analytics, or paid digital campaigns.
Experience in lifestyle, hospitality, or real estate industries.

KC Projects Public Relations is looking for intern candidates who are extremely organized, motivated, and hard-working. Candidates must have great interpersonal and be able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment. We appreciate a passion for presentation, social media and creativity. You should have a college-level understanding of communications and the desire to learn more about the industry.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with general daily administrative duties
